"Pulp Fiction" (1994) was directed and co-written by Quentin Tarantino. In the famous dance scene Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) take part in, and win, a dance competition at Jack Rabbit Slim's, performing a twist to Chuck Berry's "You Never Can Tell".

According to Uma Thurman, she based her dancing on the character Duchess from the movie "The Aristocats" (1970). John Travolta attributes some of their dance moves to Adam West's dance from the 1960's "Batman" TV show episode "Hi Diddle Riddle" (for those who want to check it out, it's about 2/3 through the episode).
